Primary Care Workforce Resilience Service

Mentoring Matters!

The Primary Care Workforce Resilience Service is an important source of educational support for colleagues (Practice Managers/Practice Nurses/GPs) in General Practice. There has been a GP mentoring scheme in Kent, Surrey and Sussex since 1995 which has developed into the Primary Care Workforce Resilience Service in 2017.

The Department of Primary and Community Care Education offers you the opportunity of involvement in the Primary Care Workforce Resilience Service as a routine part of your personal and professional development on joining General Practice in whatever capacity. You can also enter the Primary Care Workforce Resilience Service at any future point in your career, perhaps when you have career choices to make or feel under pressure.

Facilitators are carefully selected and trained. They are experienced peers with empathic communication and support skills. Advisors have regular and ongoing supervision to complement their role.

We have divided our service information into the following areas: -
