GPST3 Graduation Ceremony

We are pleased to announce that the GP School of Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex (HEKSS), will be holding a graduation ceremony for all GPST3s who are completing their training and due to receive their CCT by 6th August 2013. The graduation ceremony will be held in the afternoon of Wednesday 24th July 2013 (2pm until 5pm).  A buffet lunch will be available from 1pm. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn, Gatwick Airport, Povey Cross Road, Horley, Surrey RH6 0BA

 

We look forward to you being able to attend this event and we would also welcome your Trainer and Programme Directors. All those attending will need to register their attendance via the on-line booking form on the link below.

 

GPST3 Awards

The GP School is also very pleased to be able to offer a number of awards to GPST3s who have evidence to demonstrate in one of the following categories below.  There are five award categories which we would invite you to personally apply for:

  • Evidence of service Improvement through an audit process (1000 words)
  • Improving Patient Experience (500 words)
  • Effective education and training supervision of other GP trainees or Paramedic Practitioners Students  (500 words)
  • Evidence of effective leadership activity ( 500 words)
  • Best improver- [this GPR will be selected after CSA and AKT results] (500 words)

In addition, the GP School will also make an award to the trainee with the highest AKT & CSA examinations result supported by comprehensive E-portfolio evidence.

 

Individual GP ST3s are invited to submit their entry for one of the above categories using the submission form and send it with a supporting letter from their Educational Supervisor and/or one of their Programme Directors. Submission forms should be sent to Nina Tafa, GP Training Manager, HEKSS, 7 Bermondsey St, London SE1 2DD or by email to ntafa@kss.hee.nhs.uk by no later than 12noon on Wednesday 3rd July 2013. Each submission will be acknowledged and entrants will be notified of the outcome by 5pm on Monday 8th July. The Award submission form can be downloaded from our web site

 

The awards will be presented at the graduation ceremony, and each successful GPStR will be asked to give a brief presentation (circ. 10 minutes) about the activity for which they have received an award.

Each category has a prize of a £100 book token.
